HMT Lord Wakefield
The Lord Wakefield was an anti submarine trawler (Hull Trawler) which was lost on 29th July 1944 sunk by german aircraft off Omaha Beach, France 23 days after D Day. Loss of 34 crew. A recent tv programme (July 2014) showed a team doing a sonar survey of the normandy beaches and they identified over 500 different objects on the sea bed. Included in the images, and was dived on, is a sunken HM Trawler. This is marked, in error, as Dragon, a polish destroyer, it is definitely an HMT, pssible Lord Wakefield. http://uboat.net/allies/
